The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 will be launched in India on May 20, 2019

  • Our sources reveal that the motorcycle will cost around Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom).
  • Distributors have begun accepting private reserves for a symbolic amount of Rs 10,000.
  • Suzuki is also launching the 2019 Gixxer SF together with the Gixxer SF 250.

Before the launch on Monday (May 20, 2019), some Suzuki showrooms began accepting reservations for the upcoming Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 for an amount of Rs 10,000. Sources have also revealed that the motorcycle will cost around Rs 1.8 lakh (ex-showroom).

Yes, it can be on the more inclined side, but it contains many surprises. Although you can only see a profile photo of the bike, we can state that the design language is quite aggressive. It has a reasonably large tub with the engine housing exposed with a bronze finish.

The headlight seems inspired by the unit of the GSX-R1000 and is probably an LED unit. It also features a sports steering wheel with clips, shared seats and alloy wheels with multiple spokes with a diamond-like finish, adding a touch of sportiness.

The motorcycle is powered by a 249 cc single-cylinder air / oil-cooled engine that delivers 26.5 horsepower and 22.6 Nm of torque. For comparison: the CBR250R does the same with the power, but a little more torque at 22.9 Nm.

However, we expect that the Gixxer SF 250 is faster than the Honda since it is 6 kg lighter with 161 kilograms (curb). However, we keep our thoughts on our first travel report.
